Before instructing a solicitor to recover debts, pursue damages on your behalf etc. it is worth checking out whether the subject or company are financially able to provide satisfaction. Are they likely to declare themselves bankrupt? Are they already bankrupt? Have they got many other creditors or are they likely to dissolve their company? The financial status of an individual or Company is primarily important before you consider embarking upon expensive litigation. Better to be safe than sorry and it is not good sense to throw good money after bad!
